Hello again!
How often have you thought "I need something good to read"?
Until the development of ebooks, I was ALWAYS in need of something to read. As a kid, I read anything and everything, like all the stories in my grade school readers before the teacher assigned them. I'll bet you did too.
But no, "anything and everything" didn't include quantum mechanics, like the book in that little girl's hands. I wanted STORIES, and the ones I liked weren't always easy to find.

As an adult I belonged to one of those book-of-the-month clubs, but soon realized I couldn't trust the reviews to give me the kind of reading I wanted.
For much of my life I was 30 miles from a bookstore and 10 miles from a small library that didn't have a lot of "my kind" of fiction. Also, like most working women, I didn't have a lot of free time to shop and browse.
Then came ebooks, which I could sample from wherever I was and have instantly on my e-reader or phone! Whoopee! Ebooks filled my constant hunger for something good to read.
Even better, Amazon offered "Kindle Unlimited," giving those of us who subscribed a huge library of ebooks that we could have instantly and keep as long as we wanted. Whoopee again! I'm a happy reader.

If you love ebooks and are in Kindle Unlimited, take a look at these selections in historical fiction to find something you'll love!
