It's me again...

I hope you're keeping cool this summer. I don't spend much time in the sun, so no "beach reads" for me, but I must always have something to read, preferably something really good!

And lately, as I've told you, I've been enjoying audiobooks, including one of mine, Cold Comfort, narrated by Corey Snow.

I have to confess; this audiobook version of the second book in the Mountain Women Series was produced in 2017, and until now, I'd never listened to it.
|
Why not? Here's what I think: when I wrote these stories, I had the sound of certain voices in my head that no narrator could match, and I couldn't bring myself to listen to anything different. But now the imagined voices have faded away, and I think the narration is pretty good.

This audiobook was produced by Tantor Media, and I had no role in the process other than helping choose the narrator, Corey M. Snow. I think he did a great job. Even though the main character in this story is female, I chose a male narrator because there are many male voices in this story, and I believed a male voice might be better for the rougher ones.

If you've read any books in the Mountain Women Series, you'll notice that the Tantor Media audiobooks are still using the former cover design. I should get busy and help them out with the new versions!

You may be able to find Cold Comfort and other audiobooks free on digital library sites like Libby and Hoopla. They're also sold on many online sites, like Google Play, Audible and Amazon.
