I love Sophie Kinsella's stories, which are often silly but make me do a lot of laughing out loud!

Amor Towles' writing is sophisticated and wise, and I love everything he produces. This is not a novel, but a series of shorter pieces that have similar themes. Great for a book club!

I was wowed by this book, which I read after viewing the movie version, titled American Fiction. It's satire, and I can imagine it being discussed in college literature classes as well as book clubs. There's a lot of the F word in it, but that's satirical too.
