What I like to read

I have always loved to read. There was a time in my youth when I read anything available, including books that were too old for me and books I could barely understand.

Oddly, now that I have so many choices, I have a hard time finding books I enjoy.

Participating in book clubs has introduced me to some great reading. I like a story that’s different, that introduces me to new places and interesting people and ideas. I don’t like detailed sex and violence. I like a story that makes me wonder, that pulls me in and keeps me turning pages.

I also enjoy writing my own stories. Writing fiction has been a great experience for me, and I’ve been pleased that my books have entertained a lot of people.

Here is one of mine: RIDGETOP is not a sweet and tender story, but it has its tender moments. It’s suspenseful but it’s not a frightening, heart-pumping thriller (because I don’t enjoy books and movies that are too scary.) There’s a love story and a lot of action. And music! I wish it came with a sound track!

What about you? Do you like romantic suspense in a good story?
